The Austrian Stroke Prevention Study (ASPS) has joined the UNITED consortium.
We are pleased to be working with Prof. Dr. Reinhold Schmidt and the ASPS group. ASPS aims to study the effects of vascular risk factors on brain structure and function in a normal elderly population of Graz, Austria. It is a prospective single-center, community based study, that was established in 1991 and includes a healthy population aged 45-85 years old. Between 2006 and 2013, study participants from ASPS and their first grade relatives were invited to enter ASPS-Fam, including approximately 550 individuals. Both studies are confirmed to be involved within the UNITED consortium.
We are very excited to begin working with ASPS.
