We are excited to announce that the Prospective Dementia Registry-Austria (PRODEM-Austria) has joined the UNITED consortium.
PRODEM-Austria, financed by The Austrian Alzheimer Society, is an ongoing national prospective dementia registry including non-institutionalised dementia cases. The multi-cohort study recruits patients from memory clinics from four University neurological and psychiatric departments and eight district hospitals across Austria and includes clinical information, MR imaging and biobanking with 6 months follow-up over a period of 2 years. The project, headed by Prof. Dr. Reinhold Schmidt, allows for important information on dementia care in Austria to be collected which aids in planning and optimizing support systems for dementia care in Austria.
