The UNITED consortium is not only a platform to share data, but also for sharing knowledge. Sustainable participation in research requires collaborators to be trained in various fields/skills, in particular within currently underrepresented regions.
In Arequipa, Peru, we had the wonderful opportunity to make this happen. We were invited to give an interactive workshop and discussion on brain image analysis at the Universidad Católica San Pablo. It was a very interesting and educative afternoon. Thanks to all participants and collaborators, and especially many thanks to Marcio Soto for the organization and invitation for the workshop.
In Arequipa, we also had the opportunity to meet clinicians and researchers who gave us insights into peruvian efforts in neuroscience.
We are looking back on an amazing and productive time in Peru. Thank you so much for your time and hospitality!
